8 Basic Skills that is the Teacher Must Know

Teacher is not just a people who stand in front of the class to deliver the material, but the teacher is a people who able to directing the development of the students. Become a teacher also not very easy, because you will face with so many situation in the class, and you as the teacher must able to control yourselves, take care to the all of your student without differentiate them, and also there are so many things that the teachers should do. To achieve that, the basic skills required for the teacher in teaching. There are 8 basic skills that the teacher must know and the teachers should have:

1. Skills to open and close the lesson
   To be a teacher not just to deliver the materials like I said before, but the important things that the teacher must have is the skill to open and close the lesson. This skill is very important, because if the teacher cannot have this skill, the classroom situation will be not good. The student can’t give their attention to the teacher, and also the teacher don’t know about the students feeling at that moment. To be a teacher should know about the situation in the class, and also can pay attention to the student. That’s why this skill is very important. In open and close the lesson, the teacher also can build the student spirit to start the lesson and learn about the lesson, make the situation in the class focused to the teacher and also the material. For the example of this skill are, the teacher can say greetings (good morning, afternoon, evening) to the student, and make your face fresh with smile to the student and also you ask “how are you” to know about the condition of your student, and so many ways that you can use in the beginning of the class. And for the closing, you can say “thank you, or you say have a nice day see you again class, or so many else.

Student-Centered and Constructivist Approaches to Instruction

A. What is the constructivist view of learning?

One of the most important principles of educational psychology is that teachers cannot simply give students knowledge. Students must construct knowledge in their own minds. The teacher can facilitate this process by teaching in ways that make information meaningful and relevant to students, by giving students opportunities to discover or apply ideas themselves, and by teaching students to be aware of and consciously use their own strategies for learning. The essence of constructivist is the idea that learners must individually discover and transform complex information if they are to make it their own. Constructivist strategies are often called student-centered instruction.

“The Effective Lesson”

             Lesson is the one of the part of learning process. All of the aspect of the lesson can affect the learning process. The lesson is where education takes place. Lesson also is the key of study or learning, because without lesson, there’s will be no education. There are so many kind of learning process. Every people or every student has differences in learning a lesson. And the teacher also has so many methods or ways to teach their students. But in the other ways, some students usually didn’t understand about the material that the teacher gives to them, they can’t understand the lessons because there are so many factors that affect to learning the lessons, such as the methods of the teacher is not effective and also the aspect is not support the student to learning a lessons. The example of the aspect that can affect the learning process are like the facilities of the school are limited, no motivation from the students, the environment around the learning is not supported to the student to learn a lessons, such as the temperature in the class or bad weather, etc. that’s can affect to the student to learn a lessons. In this chapter, we will learn about the effective lessons, that we as the teacher in the future must know how to make an effective lessons that can make your student can understand the materials and enjoy with the lessons.

Kematian merupakan sesuatu yang sudah biasa dalam kehidupan di dunia ini, ada kelahiran pasti ada kematian. Kematian adalah hal yang pasti terjadi pada diri semua makhluk hidup di alam semesta ini.
